Citrus Orders are no longer being accepted

Information for Students and Parents

South Lakes Band is selling citrus again this year!  The fruit is delicious and priced very competitively.  On Thursday, Oct. 8 or Friday, Oct. 9 your student will be receiving a packet with the information on the sales, a brochure and 5 receipts.  Each band student, including the guard, will be expected to sell at least ten items. We will also be taking donations for Reston Interfaith, if people do not want to purchase for themselves this is an option students can offer.

On Nov. 7th we will canvas the community selling fruit.  This event, similar to tag day, will be held from 9 am to 12 and will help students reach or exceed their required 10 items.
Prizes will be awarded to the students that sell the most fruit.

Key dates:
10/9/09 - Sales Begin
11/7/09 - Mass community sale 9am to 12
11/9/09 - All orders are due to Mr. Fore
12/1/09 - Prize winners announced
12/12/09 - All fruit is to be picked up at SLHS from 9 to 11 am

Volunteers are need for the Nov 7th event - email Carol Burns at VP@southlakesband.org and also on the day of delivery, Dec. 12 please email Maureen Becker at citrus@southlakesband.org to help with that day.

All citrus needs to be picked up on December 12th - pick up will be from 9 am to 11AM.  If you can not pick up your student's order then please make arrangements with another family to do so.  We are not able to store the citrus after Dec. 12th.  If you cannot be there to pick up your citrus please make sure you have arranged for another family to pick up the citrus.

Volunteers are needed the morning of Dec. 12th to help unload the truck and to help with pick up.  We will meet at 7:30AM at the flag pole side of the school.  Donuts, hot chocolate and coffee will be supplied for the volunteers.  If you or your student can help please email Maureen Becker at becker20191@yahoo.com.
